PARK "ARBAT TÖbeler"
ARBAT TÖBELER Park in Shymkent, designed by PrivateHouse, is a contemporary urban landscape and public space design project that redefines how cities integrate recreation, climate adaptability, and social interaction within a single environment.
The concept is based on a multifunctional master plan, where architecture, landscape design, and urban programming work together to create a dynamic and flexible public destination. The park is designed to operate throughout the year, responding to seasonal changes while maintaining a consistent level of activity and engagement.
A key feature of the project is the interactive fountain plaza, conceived as a vibrant water-based environment that encourages play, movement, and social interaction. This space becomes a central attraction during warmer seasons, activating the park and enhancing its role as a family-oriented urban hub.
Complementing this is the year-round ice rink, a unique and adaptable element within the landscape. It functions as a traditional skating rink in winter and transforms into a multipurpose event platform during other seasons, supporting cultural events, temporary installations, and public gatherings.
The project integrates landscape architecture, master planning, urban design, and public infrastructure, ensuring a cohesive spatial structure and a high level of usability. Green zones, shaded areas, pedestrian routes, and open plazas are carefully composed to create a balanced environment that supports both active recreation and quiet relaxation.
Special attention is given to sustainable design strategies, climate responsiveness, and long-term operational efficiency, making the project both environmentally and economically resilient.
ARBAT TÖBELER Park represents a new generation of urban parks and public spaces, combining design quality, functionality, and cultural relevance while increasing the overall value and identity of the urban environment.
