AIRPORT ATYRAU
The international airport terminal in Atyrau, designed by PrivateHouse, is a contemporary project in aviation architecture and transport infrastructure design, shaping a new gateway for the region. The concept is based on the idea of movement, connection, and openness, reflecting Atyrau’s growing role as a strategic hub.
The terminal’s architecture is defined by a dynamic roof form, inspired by the image of an aircraft ready for takeoff. This expressive silhouette creates a strong visual identity while symbolizing progress, development, and global connectivity.
A key structural feature is the pylon-supported system with tension cables, which enhances the dynamic geometry of the roof and gives the building a sense of lightness and technological sophistication.
The design integrates large-scale glazing, open public spaces, and intuitive passenger flow, ensuring natural light, visual transparency, and комфортное перемещение пассажиров. The terminal connects interior spaces with the surrounding environment and airport operations.
This project represents a modern approach to airport design, transport architecture, and infrastructure development, combining functionality, efficiency, and iconic architectural expression.
