PrivateHouse Architectural Bureau has won Platinum — the top award of the Houzee Awards 2026 — in the Mixed-Use Housing category (Concept, Professional) for Eden Nova, a project realised in Saudi Arabia near Riyadh.

Eden Nova is a mixed-use residential and hospitality complex on a site of approximately 1.5 hectares, bringing together residential apartments, townhouses, hotel units, and public spaces within a single architectural composition. The concept is built around preserving the site’s existing vegetation: green areas are woven into a network of gardens, shaded walkways, and private relaxation zones, giving the complex a distinct identity while improving microclimatic comfort in the hot desert environment.

At the centre of the composition is a shared landscape featuring a pool, lounge areas, and gardens — the social heart of the complex, creating a resort-like atmosphere that encourages interaction and connection to nature. The functional programme spans several residential typologies: hotel apartments for short stays, residential apartments for long-term living, and townhouses with private terraces and gardens.

Climate-responsive strategies run throughout the design: shading systems, double-layer façades, landscaped courtyards, and water features reduce heat gain and support comfortable outdoor spaces. Eden Nova reinterprets traditional Middle Eastern architectural principles — privacy, shade, and a strong connection to nature — through a contemporary architectural language.

This award adds to PrivateHouse’s international recognition, following Gold UDAD 2026 and Bronze IADA 2026 for Bogenbai Towers, and a Silver IADA 2026 award previously given to Eden Nova itself.
